Looks like this will be my new home shortly! So, how's the hunting, fishing, and wheeling?

if you are in new london, you are about 4 miles from http://www.rorp.com/homepage.htm - they have several events a year and a wide variety of trails. Also - if you don't mind a bit of a drive (3 hours or so) there's a pretty good park - http://www.flatnasty.net/ that's about half an hour from where I live now.

pittsfield il would be about an hour away from new london. Do not know if there's anyplace over there or not.

My parents live outside Center, MO and my brother works in Bowling Green. I know the area alright, lived in the area for 6 or 7 years or so before getting married and going back to school.

as for the hunting, deer and turkey hunting are the big ones, and there's plenty to be had. As for the fishing, you've got Mark Twain Lake, which is pretty good fishin. Course if you want more laid back catfish fishing, there's always the mighty mississippi and there's some MONSTER catfish in there.

EDIT - Just noticed that the Hannibal Rocks offroad course is closed until further notice. Something to do with lack of funding and an agreement falling through. Hopefully it works out so that they can work it out.
