Guess we have mid-afternoon plans with some friends.....trying to squirm my way out of it. I have to be careful. She did buy me a Jeep after all. Haha. We'll see. Daughter is wanting to do the beginners day tomorrow. We'll see. Probably a long shot at best for us tomorrow.
It's setup is okay. Winch is a cheap 12,000 lb HF Badlands. Needs a cable. All receipts are gone, but guessing a 3.5 lift based on the RE springs and some online research. New M/T Deegan 35x16x12.5 tires will be in Monday....we have the 32's on our XJ and love 'em. Came with a soft top and bikini top as well.

Wife is working the 14th, so I should be good to head down to Sayersbrook for the cleanup. We'll be back on the 15th so daughter can get some wheel time in her XJ before the 28th, which we'll have both Jeeps at.
Anyone else able to make the 14th and/or 15th?

I'm shooting for the 15th for sure, might be just me depending if the wife wants to come or not. I'm going to look into the cleanup too, that might be fun.

Tony, where were you man??? You missed a great event! Clean-up Saturday was a riot.....ended up doing more playing & searching out old trails than trail cleaning. Coming out of winter, there was very little overgrowth to take care of. Had a blast in our JKU. We ran it there both days.
Sunday was PERFECT for the newbie run. Daughter conquered in her XJ! Nothing too crazy since it was the newbie run, but still some tough stuff. A little sloppy--not too bad.
This guy in a straight stock & super clean V8 Grand Cherokee (maybe an '08?) with insane....ahem....courage and carefree willingness to smash the throttle while dragging over obstacles was awesome to watch. Dude was a nut on those trails. Good times man!

Tommy, I came down with some flu bug on Sat that carried over into Sunday.. felt like crap! I am bumming that I missed out on the fun. :/
As you know now I picked up a JK.. and have to decide what the future of both with be.. keep the XJ or make the JK a trail/daily driver? Not sure yet.. the JK has low tread highway tires so it's a no go for now..

I know the XJ crowd will want to hang me for this (including my daughter), but my vote is to turn that JK into a DD/trail rig. This weekend I watched bone-stock JK's with factory street tread navigate through a LOT more than I would've ever imagined. Not to say an XJ couldn't do it as well.....but I'm really digging my JKU.
Throw some A/T's on there to get by for now and come to March Madness!

And I have full plans of a 2" boost and 35's on that JK, with a selectable locker up front. I can't keep anything stock!

sup guys. i've checked out the MWJT page a few times.
honestly my rig needs some under carriage work before i take it out on any trails. a lot of my floor boards are missing and i need to get the new one welded in.
but aside from that i've got some axle stuff and gears and some other minor parts waiting at the house to get some time to install stuff.
i plan on coming out for the rock the nasty event. my buddy and i will probably camp out there one night

Update on Moonlight... the field is a swap, the main creek to cross to get in has been washed out but they are getting it backfilled tomorrow.
I am still on the fence about going, I'll make the call at the last minute...

Hope you make it. Definitely will be sloppy, so I can understand if you don't though.

Haha yeah I'm non committal at this point. It's going to be a slop fest after what we've had. I'm just gonna head to Moab who's in??? I might consider Wa****a next weekend to help out though..I'll at least have the mini skids on..
