With me ending school here shortly and plans to move I need a daily driver that doesn't get 9 mpg. Jeeps getting to old to just drive all around town, wanna save it for wheeling. And maybe some cruises. Rust is claiming my jeep right now too.

Thanks, I really want a new bumper! Any ideas for something cheap but effective?

Went wheeling last night on some untouched roads down to a low water crossing, she handled great!

You can remove your end caps, cut the ends of the bumper at an angle, and trim the front to clear tow hooks.

There are a lot of aftermarket bumpers out there, typically starting around $250-$300.

You can also search bumper builds threads and make your own. If you don't have a welder, angle grinder, and other various tools there are a number of locals who can fabricate you a custom bumper. Decide on whether you want a winch mount, d-rings, hitch receiver, unibody tie-in/braces...

Thanks for the ideas straightsix, and wiggles I would looove to get a custom bumper made from you!

What I have in mind is something small with a place to mount my winch when I buy one, and I would have to remove the fog lights right? If so where could I put those, or replace them with new?

Well this is what I have in the making right now, just need to finished the bottom. It puts the winch under the grill, it sticks out as much as a stock bumper.
Would you want something like that?

Nice stubby Logan, have you made any with high clearance wrap arounds for the ends of the grill?

Eventually I will make wings for it but I was only concerned about the center section for now.
Its going to get a stinger and a low profile fairlead for the winch.
