But my brothers girl friend just picked up an 85 cherokee that has some cancer in the rear unibody rails. So we are going to cut it out and put some fresh steel in before her lift goes on.

Wish I was good at making stuff for my Jeep, maybe then I would have the sliders and bumpers I want for it... Just means I got to save up a bunch more

Thinking about just fabbing one up, it would be cheaper to. Id only go with 1/8" because it would be a lot lighter and plenty strong for what I do. Do you think a HF 90 amp flux core mig with good wire could handle it?

Made some headway on the jeep today. Swapped the rear axle with an 8.25 I got for almost nothing. Replaced the shafts and hubs on the front. But, the brakes went out on me and had to use the e-brake to get home. Also the heater controll valve cracked and sprayed like crazy. I just looped the heater hose around so I could drive it back. At least the next two fixes should be quick...
