Anyone in the Missouri area?
I'm from Fredericktown, MO, about 90 miles south of St Louis.
I'm starting my first jeep build to try to make the best all around vehicle on a budgeted build, so some good used parts will come in handy.
I plan on occasionally visiting Wa****a off road park since it is close to the house, and maybe peak my head into Devils Coffin for their mud runs

Im newish to the Jeep world but ive been around trucks and off roading most of my life. This is technically my second Jeep, the first one was a junker I bought for $400 and blew the motor the first week I had it and then gave it to a friend because I didnt want to deal with it. This one I am actually planning on keeping for awhile. Here it is:

This is the day I bought it. Since then, I havent really changed much of the exterior (yet) but I took off the fender flares and I tore down the axles and replaced ball joints, bushings, etc., added an Iron Rock Offroad Track bar, new steering stabilizer and a few small things. I also painted everything a metallic smoke silver and bright orange! Got any pictures of your rig?

Well it looks like this is a good place to learn man. There seems to be a lot of write up regarding how-to's on almost anything and everything you could want to do to your XJ on this forum. As far as wheeling, I will say Wa****a outside Farmington is a pretty good park to learn on. They have pretty easy trails and some harder ones. Also, ive been there a few times and its never really packed so its always nice to wheel without a ton of people around.

The tires are 35x1250x15 Pro Comp Xterrains. The lift is rouhly 6 or 8 inch, the previous owner installed it. The gears are 4.56s and they work pretty well with the size lift and tires, good power.
