Default Why ?

I see Jeep clubs all the time making the trip from Denver to slaughterhouse trail , which is not that close to Denver ,and the
Jeeps I see usually are running 35-38's and such...I just don't see the attraction since Slaughterhouse trail has not one single obstacle to challenge a locked vehicle on 31's with a good suspension let alon 35-38's ..infact I can run the trail in my stock WJ on balding all terrains ... not trying to be a *** I just can't see the reason a club would take the 80 miles round trip to run what amounts to dirt road with some pebbles on it ?

Agreed. Last year my buddy and I ran that trail in 2wd in about an hour. It's lame.

However in 03 the run off from the blizzard made for a couple real bad mud holes ...I'd like to get a rematch with the big mud hole there with the big boggers ,but no mud like that since 03 .

i broke a trackbar and both front axles in those holes!! all in one big boom boom pow. was the reason i did my first front leaf swap on a comanche.

im pretty sure they closed down the mud holes. so there is no fun to be had there anymore.

i def agree to a point. some people just want to get out and trail ride ya know?

i for one, am beginning to like more trail riding than crawling. i beat the **** out of my jeeps while crawling and after 13-14 years of it, its getting damn expensive. dont get me wrong, im still gonna crawl, just not as much as i used to. id rather grab the girl, the dogs, and some lunch and head out for a nice relaxing trail ride. not an all day, butthole puckering event every time.

btw-im not in any clubs, just think i understand their reasoning.....but you wont see me taking the xjuggy to slaughterhouse when its done!

ps- you inspired me to write this..... https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/i-...i-found-91710/
