you go towards breck from fairplay, highway 9 comes to mind?. you go thru alma and when you get to the bottom of the pass you take a left to wheeler. i think there are signs saying montgomery lake. that is the lake at wheelers trail head. im not to good with street names, just know how to get where im going somehow. been to wheeler prob 30 times. my favorite trail by far. great views!!

found this on traildamage.com
Driving Directions
From I-70, exit on Route 9 south to Breckenridge. Go through the town on the main road and go up Hoosier Pass. Take Road 4 west to Montgomery Reservoir. The trail starts at the north end of the Reservoir.
From the south, take Highway 285 to Fairplay, then Route 9 north to Road 4 on the left, just after you start to climb up to Hoosier Pass.

I'm sure we will keep you posted!! Looking forward to meeting everyone!!
