so i thought i would post this hear so some local's can see and pass it on or buy it your self.
so here is what i got. 1988 xj 158k on the 4.0 1-6 runs good, auto tranny np231 t-case. i have swapped out the front and rear axles for newer ones from a 98. swapped in a Dana 30 front with custom diff cover and welded tubes. for the rear i got a 8.25 that i welded the diff.
for the lift it has new and i mean new Rubicon Express 7.5" coils with a 2" spacer in the front. for the rear a 6.5" Alcan spring all spring no blocks.
i just built a long arm kit for the front using 2" .25 dom tube with creeper joints from trail-gear.com and bushings from poly performance. i also built to hold the long arms a custom cross member like Clayton off road has. this jeep flexes and performs well.
for tires it has some 33s that still have a lot of life in them i have five one of them has never touched the road. the jeep could fit 35s with no problems.
other doodad's custom front stinger bumper, flow master muffler, cd player.
now on to the stuff it will need.
first off it will need a alignment i never got it done after the lift.
when i built my long arm my buddy was helping me and when we set the caster he said ya that is good tack it their. well it is off a little so it shakes a little and you can hear my front drive shaft when driving on the free way. but that is a easy fix you can drill a new hole in mount or on the upper control arm and it will fix it. i would recommend getting a heim joint steering but not needed the steering is still tight no slop but it has some steep angle due to the lift height.
this has been a good jeep. i really don't want to sale it but the wife said i could get a new on so im picking up a 2001 that is built this week end. so this on has to go. i would like to see $2,300 out of it.
the jeep is located in hyrum Utah. you can call me or pm me. 435-five one two -25 two five.
