Default OK, Who Helped a Kid With Cancer Tonight?

So I was out at Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs tonight. Not in my Jeep, but in my Mazdaspeed6. There was a benefit car show, chili cook-off, and talent show to help the grandson of one of the high school's admin people, and the Colorado Mazda Club brought out a few of our cars.

Turns out, about 6 lifted Cherokees were there, too. In fact, I think one is still there because it wouldn't start afterward lol.

For whoever showed up, if you're on here -- thank you. This little car show was supposed to be just 5-6 older cars that Bruce, the custodian had coming. But word spreads fast in the car enthusiast community, and in the end I think we had 25 cars there. United Empire Car Club brought 7, and there were some singles too.

It WAY WAY WAY exceeded the expectations of the organizers, and almost brought tears to the eyes of the woman whose family needs this help.

Thanks to whoever you were. You made a difference.

Awesome! Thanks for helping out. My wife works there, and we love Cla (Jackson's grandmother) a lot. So glad so many people came out to help her family.

FYI -- I was told that as of this morning, they'd raised $3500, and donations were still coming in.

Both my kids go to VRHS. My daughter is in the S2S group that helped with the entire affair.

Our kids probably know each other then. My oldest son is a senior there, and my younger son is a sophomore and student council member. They were serving the chilli. Small world!
