no you should be good, just hit it right once the front is up a little bump and you should be good. a buddy's XJ did it with no front locker before and he was stock wheel base too.

should my front axle be moving towards the rear when heading downhill? would this be from bad lower control arm bushings? or is this normal? cuz it's giving me wheel bite like crazy

Got all my shi, er I mean stuff, play date with the XJ on Saturday! Should land the rig at about 5' of lift then it will be time for some 33's.
Not sure on what tires yet, good performance with the BFG AT's over the last 2 1/2 years, good in snow and rain, hook up pretty good on the trail, the conservative side of me tells me "go with those". The kid in me likes the KM-2's as they look bad *** and have the agressive tread and I've seen how they hook up (conservative side worries about winter DD performance/wear on a DD). I've also been eyeballing the Duratracs as they also have the aggresive look and are supposed to be better in the snow than the KM-2s and good road manners, but I'm concerned as to the offroad capabilities (Shawns seemed to have a had time hooking up on the wedge at Lil Moab last time we were out, even aired down). Are there other tires I'm over looking or things I should know that I have not discovered about the options I'm already considering. Opinions are more than welcome.

So what's new?! Started the new job on the 9th and haven't been on. Right now I'm on a drill rig in superior, Arizona. Which is cool except its fugging raining and snowing today! So I've got a Moab trip planned for June 4 through the 7th if anyone is going to be down there.
