Might be time to pull the cover inspect the electronics and get liberal with the dialectric grease. I've never heard of that happening before, I'd hate to smoke a winch due to something such as that.

28 I belive I'm still trying to get to that part of figuring it out, if it is 28 the ford one should work right? not have to buy some fancy part,
