so i tripped with the sawzall in hand today, luckily the only thing that got hurt was the jeep

started with this

then ended up with this

see the nice bent frame rail

awesome approach angle

this is why it was decided to get cutoff

thats how much got cut off

now it's time to improve on jeeps design

I ran to Moab early Saturday and hit Metal Masher with the guys, then Moab Rim today.
It was some of the best weather I have wheeled in, and it was awesome. The only carnage I know of was Jeff smacked the inner edge of his right front wheel on the top of Z-turn, bending it a couple inches inward. He put on his spare and moved on up. Later on, it got hammered back into round-ish.
I am sure there will be some pics in the next couple days. I am so glad I am not burned out on Moab yet
We definitely need to make a Hurricane run one of these times, though.

They dont sell it anymore, it was kind of a one off kit. I have only seen one other zj with the same kit, Tyler anderson the owner of crawler ready, his crawler ready zj has the same exact kit- the rear half is slightly different, it has the 2nd gen rear. Mine has the 1st gen, difference is his is a triangulated 4-link, mine is a Wishbone 3-link. In my opinion mine is just as good if not better because it is bolt on and solid stock, strait links instead of bent .250 wall links. Front is the same though, i have the 2nd gen front half (longer links to push the axle forward 2"). It is a great LA kit and i have loved it, but i am pushing my rear axle back about 6" and front forward 2-3" so i am better off selling it then hacking it up. I most likely am not gonna sell the coils so you would need to source some...

BTW, I am anxious to see what becomes of your front end, Derek
\Tripping with power tools can do crazy things. It's a good thing you fell perfectly perpendicular to the Jeep.

Really? OK you got me. I made that all up, and spent the weekend staring at a wall. And I don't have any pictures of that either
The guys that were taking pictures will probably post them later.
I have some video, but can't get it on the computer right now.

Widowmaker denied me, by the way. I gave it some gas, but couldn't even get the rear tires to the hill! My rear end was scooping too deep into the sand.
It was a let down.
No one else gave it a run for it's money either. What a wall!

basically gonna narrow it about 15" and bring in my approach angle 13" and move the winch to under the radiator with some other top secret stuff

is the winch anchor still at the top? a few days ago i heard rumor it was taken out, just verifying
