took the jeep up on the mountain today with my buddy. Left the front sway bar hooked up because i havent made bumpstops for it yet. Rear was rubbing on my bumper so i took a sawzall to it afterwards.
-amazing what difference new tires make, i can go places in 2 wheel that i normally have to throw it into 4-low for
the blazer has a 4" lift with 35's, my jeep is sitting at 6.5" with 35's
the last picture is of it before with 33's, my front swaybar was still hooked up because i have not made bumpstops for the front yet

3pm worked on the jeep

7 " and ordered pizza
8 "
9 "

ok that getting boring lol so i finally left the shop at 1:10 am im so drained and sore as hell. I cut off my old plate i had on there temporary and put a new one on both inside and out heres some pics

35s and unibody.... not a good idea

New plate on the outside....

so after 11+ hours of welding grinding cutting and swearing from sparks in the hair and pinching my fingers between the gear box and frame, oh and not to mention i had to get a new box since the threads on my old one were striped to hell but finally i got it done!!!!!!

now all i can say is

I hope to see both you guys out next weekend, by the sounds of it we're going to do little moab. If the weathers half as nice as it was last weekend we'll be golden.

If you do have damage you can ussualy tell by looking at the outer side of the unibody where the three steering gear bolts are. If your running bigger than 31" tires its a good idea to reinforce the uni before you start having problems. Right Mike? LOL!

Take a peek at the inside of the "frame" behind the steering box. If its ripping it starts there I believe

you have a grand right? if you do then you really dont need to worry ive herd the grands dont have that problem (unless your zach ). if you have a cherokee it will be pretty obvious you will start seeing hair line crack(s) about where the box is. all i can say is fix the problem before it even happens, go get your self a steering box brace their not that expensive mine was 60 from 4wheel parts

correct this is what id recommend....
31's you should be fine just look at a brace down the road
33's id be ordering a brace soon
35's hope you already have a brace on there and start bracing the body theirs kits out there that make it easier plating
