First day at the new job and it went well so I came home and busted out some drop bracket braces. I drilled out the old trans crossmember bolts and fishwired some 1/2" bolts down in and then ran a plate that I welded to the tube with the cup that captures the control arm bolt. Eventually I will ad a third bolt to it, run the tube all the way to the leaf spring mount and then capture the stock control arm bolt too.

I also might have sold the locker for my xj Dana 44 so if someone wants a cheaper open diff d44...

I bought it for $5700. Only thing I have put on it was my winch and CB from my samurai and a stereo. Oh and the rock lights.
Here is the fun list.

37" Toyo MT's on 17" rims
22RE motor with about 700 miles on it when I got it
Hydro assist steering
4.88 R&P with 4.7 dual case twin stick
Rear axle ford 9" with chromoly 35 spline shaft with a spool. Est $4000 into it
Front axle Chromoly Long Fields and spool
4 link rear suspension with Fox coilovers Est $1300 a piece for the coilovers.
125" wheelbase.

Est the maker into it: $25,000

Only obstacles I can't make are Rock Chucker and Wayne's World. Though I have made Eagle's Nest and Rock Pile.

Any other questions, let me know

That long wheel base is funny that way. I can walk Rock Chucker and Waynes World, but not eagles nest.. havent tried rock pile yet, I think I can get it.
