Just went up the canyon to Old Flowers Road today. Read that it is one of the easiest wheeling trails in the area. Had to use 4L once to get up a loose rocky slope, but my stock XJ with stock street tires did it with ease. Passed a lifted 4Runner with 33's, said he had to use 4L on a muddy slope that I got up in 2WD.
Hell yeah XJ!

What's up newb. I'm in Lyons about 35-45 mins from the Fort. Let me know when you get a lift, bigger tires, rock sliders and a new rear axle with a locker and then we can go wheelin together. LOL!!!

Will do, minus the locker. If I get/build a dedicated wheeling rig, it will get locked diffs, but I like being able to turn sharply, as my XJ is my DD.

then get ARB lockers or OX lockers. they run open when off and locked when on with the flip of a switch.

if you don't mind the tires chirping, lockers aren't bad. Running a detroit and happy with it.

I didn't say spooled. I have ARB lockers front and rear they operate with a switch. Mine is my DD too and they are open under normal driving conditions.
