Im sure itll come off again. Drove an audi and felt how tight it was. Needed to do something to make it drive more racecar. Been looking into superchargers too

Okay, I know this is not so XJ related but I trust your feedback here in this thread guys. If you were going to buy a diesel truck here in Albuquerque, where would you go?

It depends on what you really want and how much you wanna spend and the year range. Long bed, dulley. It will be 4dr for sure. All have your pros and cons. You already know what ill tell you.

Superchargers have the low end power because theres no lag they start boosting around 500 rpms, the power is more predictable. A turbo would be fun for anything but a crawler. Boosts around 2000 but the power can be a bit unpredictable due to boost surges. If I do it itll be after the stroker so when I build the engine I can do full forged, and apr head studs

Good to know man, thanks. I'm not sure mine will ever become a crawler. I can definitely conquer more than I ever have with my past jeeps, but I like to drive it up to the mountains often, and it's still my DD for now. Maybe some day that will all change!

headin out to go campin at trout lakes.... one of the best camp spots in NM. gonna check out a few of the OHV trails the got out there.

Does anybody have a stocks set of leaf spring in good condition I could buy off of them by Thursday? Mine are losing their arch and next week I'm towing two motorcycles to tulsa, ok. I know there is u u pull but typically the springs in there are shot

I've got a set of stock leaf springs. Instead of swapping them out for the same sad leafs, I would take the ones you have and add one of the load springs or cut the eye off the main spring and add it to your current pack. You can mix and match for the load height and would only need a wrench, a C clamp and a jack.

It'll be pretty tough finding a stock set in any better shape than what you have.
Auto parts stores have some helper spring kits that may work also.
You can probably get about two inches with an extra main leaf from an old pack stuck in your current pack.

I'll probably do that. I just do want to bottom out my rear suspension going such a long distance and that much weight
