Yeah, you're definitely doing it wrong. I've never seen a 96 without the ignition function. Maybe not the obd 2 but all have the ignition funtion. Maybe your check engine light is broken.

I'm gonna do mine with my next check, I was going to do it this time but I decided to save the money for gas lol. I priced everthing though, the grill sheets are like 6 buck, the selfetching high heat primer is like 8, the paint is also like 8(green or black, what do you think), and the silicone id like 6, oh and cut off wheels are like 20, for a 20 pack.

You coming out sunday?
you should do the green if thats the color your gonna paint your tie rod and all that. i bought permatex ultra black maximum oil resistance rtv silicone gasket maker.... its good up to 500*F thats nuts

***oh and i got that code checked and its an o2 sensor.... the back one after the cat?? and he said something about high voltage or something like that

Im throwing the same code,(bank 1 sensor 2?) I replaced it and it came back. And yeah I was thinking green too, I think ill end up getting some of that RTV silicone.

just got a bosch o2 sensor.... mine was showin bank 2 i think.... i know which one it is, and should help with mpg, might replace the other soon to lol

you have to reset your sytem if im not mistaken before the light will go away idk how to do that though just read somethings could be true or not idk

Maybe it was bank 2, but its the one right after the cat, it went away once I put it in and came back on that day me and you went to the puerco, maybe I have a bad cat?

could be wouldnt that throw its own code thought idk?

Mine came out no problem, and idk the cat doesnt its own sensor, and I would think a bad cat would give that sensor a false reading

well so far not so good stupid things really on there... the nut is stuck but the wrench keeps roundin the corners of the nut cause it wont move... need a diff wrench prolly
