You still need to grab the swr meter too. Get a cobra 25 its small enough and has the more then basic functions or even a corba19 plus it has rf gain I thing compared to the 19iii. Or even a uniden they make some nice small radios too or get your amateur radio license and get a even better radio.

Hahahaha after hearing you guys talk about a SWR meter I read my instructions and found my CB has a SWR meter and calibration mode. I made adjustments per the instructions and was picking up stuff at my house 8 miles from the hiway. Last time I went out I was barely receiving jeeperGb line of sight.

From what the guy on san mateo told be is the one on juan tabo and eubank I think.... is really the only one that still sell cbs and accessories from radio shack. The truck stops also sell them the menual & univeristy, 98th & I40 and the rotue 66 and the casino too. The only cb shops are mesa and the one on 98th. There is sospose to be on in edgewood too but I don't know and he is sospose to be better then all of them too.
The cb shops are goin to be more of course truck shop cheaper, but the one on 98th sell some that had been tweaked and tuned for not much more then a new one with no mods. It just all depends how what you like and the features you want, is what really comes down to it.

Mine is a Cobra 29WXNWST with a 3 foot magnetic antenna mounted rear center on top. The Rio Rancho store by the Target had some.

That's funny. I went to lunch with Billy the other day and mentioned wheeling with you and he told me he knew you. Small world. I've known Billy for 20+ years.
