Oxy isn't that hot. At least with oxy you can weld in the googles, shirt and gloves easily. Arc you burn your arms and need the full mask. Mig you still need the mask but you can weld in just a shirt, you can still burn but not as easy. And tig is like gas just need the mask and gloves.

It don't really take any longer if you have your torch set up right. Mig is my preference but it also depends on your machine too

No matter how you do it melting steel is fun. I didn't even know I could weld with my torch. Is there a special rod for that or can I use rods from my ARC welder?

oh trust me i know all this, but oxy is alot hotter not a hotter process(deff slower) but its a flame not an arc and the heat from an oxy is alot worse then that of an arc or mig welder, this is however just my personal opinion, comparing the two with the same gear on.... ive done oxy 8hrs a day for several months it sucks

if you had a mig you could use your mig wire, but they sell consumable rods for oxy welding.....same as you would use for tig welding, just depends on your metal

I'm going to try it now. I got the torch to cut s**t never thought of melting two pieces of steel together with torch. So it works like brazing or soldering all heat nice.

Superbee and I talked to a guy that was out there in a truck, he said it wasn't bad. His truck wasn't even muddy. For sure I will be there.

Oxy is just my favorite. Yeah it takes longer but it looks cleaner especially will filler rods not just fusion because its not as strong. Mig welding I can do im just not that great at it. Id probably be better with an autoshade because I learned with a blacked out mask and id out my rod down to start put my mask on and somehow my weld would start 4 inches from where I placed it! >__>
Lol good times

I was talking to Jeremy (the guy with the 4 runner) after you left and he said it wasn't that muddy because he had already spent 20 minutes pressure washing his truck. He said you couldn't even see the truck before he washed it. Hahahahaha
