Hey everyone, I've been having some starting issues. Up until recently I was able to start it up with no problems. When I try to start it, nothing happens. The gauges and everything else powers on. But when I try to crank it nothing happens. The brake light flashes when I turn the key. I've replaced the NSS an checked the starter. Any suggestions on what may be the issue? Thanks for any responses.

Start basic fuses, power, ground. What did it do before it didn't want to start anymore? What were you doin before it didn't want to start anymore? Did you make sure the nss was lined up right so with park and netural is would start?

Well before it was running fine. Started up with no probs. I was working on my doors. An I hadn't driven it for about a week. And ill have to check on the alignment of the NSS. Would the ignition switch or cylinder be a culprit?

The switch could be but I'm putting my guess on the nss not lined up right try to see if it will start in drive or reverse or even check for reverse lights.

Negative on starting in neutral.

hbracing, is it hit or miss on the NSS being lined up?

Definately a nss alignment issue...
I bet when it runs it shifts like crap... the tcu needs the nss to tell it that it is in a forward gear...

actually that's what I noticed on the shifting. So the alignment has to be perfect? Stupid question but, how would I go about aligning it correctly?

I could use some 33s for 17's. What are they? How much tread? How much? Do you have 4 or 5?

What made you think it was the NSS in the first place? Were you having the no starting issue before you changed it?

well it started just fine. Then the next day it wouldn't start. So I went through the fuses, power, grounds. Nothing. Then I checked the starter an solenoid. They were good. So checked around the forums an found that the NSS could be the culprit, so I cleaned an rebuilt the original. But noticed the sheathin was cut on a wire. So I ordered a new one an swapped it out.

Did you follow the negative cable from the battery to the engine block and make sure it was secure. I had same problem once and that was the culprit.
