FULL WIDTH FTW!?!?
I'm on the hunt for a hp44 n 9" since 37's is all I wanna go.
But yeah honestly it seems like the best thing to do.
I wanna make my 98 a trail only rig and cruise like another clean eg hatch that gets 35+ miles a gallon because this 15mpg highway is murdering me. The older xjs just aren't worth fixing up because almost everything is vacuum controlled and its hunting junkyards for parts since its so old and even then **** at the junkyard is mediocre at best. Take my advise and put you xj up for sale now because I'm having a ***** of a time selling my 89 with a stroker n moderately built.

Sigh, his 87 already has a 44 compared to your 35
. The way I see a rig is how much money and time you've thrown at it. How many people honestly keep their rig stock. So "Polishing a turd" really doesn't apple to jeep owners. Go check out how many CJs are still out on trails.
So to conclude my point, if you're happy with the rig you got, pay to get it overseas. I know I wouldn't bother personally, because you don't have a lot in it if your specs are updated. I would part it out or sell it as is. The D44 alone would get you $200+ depending on gearing.

Uh, FUU.
But seriously, a D44 or a Ford 8.8 would be nice. These D35's suck bad. Here in a bit I will be in the market for a good rear end. I just slapped on the lift, now gotta save for the tires. 235's look like **** with a 4.5 inch lift. It drives like a Zamboni too.

A little off topic, but was curious if anyone had a recommendation on where to find old ammo cans here in Albuquerque. I have a possible XJ project planned, but the place I called was way out of line as far as pricing.

I have a Dana 44 off a Cherokee that I was going to rebuild. As it sits right now it is just the housing with a all the rust off and a coat of paint. I was planing on redoing everything but instead bought a Rubicon and plan probably on selling the Cherokee..
PM me about the Dana if you are interested.

Your Jeep is the same year as mine though if it's the wagoneer. Thoughts of salvaging and piecing together a monster beast are indeed entering my mind.
Wait! Wagoneer = PVC Fake Wood Siding.

Wagoneer yes, it didn't have the wood siding it was just painted tan and brown, it is all olive drab now, but didn't get sanded cause i was lazy when i painted it, however its not like its hard to touch up the paint if you know what i mean. It has a dana 44 and a high pinion 30, it needs some work though i will tell you that. $1200 is the lowest i can go for it, i wanted to get 1500, but at 1200 i am only loosing a little bit of money with everything i have done to it, and again like i said it needs some work.

I see. Paint is no issue to me, I spray-painted mine camoflage. But see I want the axle(s) and I'd prolly sell my friend the lift kit. But I don't have that cash right now. I can afford just a D44 axle unless its priced up stupidly.
