Well back form UT. What a week....got a lot done to the XJ 4.5 lift...456.gears 8.25 29 spline with disk brakes,SYE...bored throttle body. My son in law built me a rear bumper and tire carrier that is friggin awesome. Damn alot of work in 4.5 days...plus a wedding and a day at the SLC pull a parts, they have 4 or 5 diff. ones. Oh and seen some smoken rigs around Moab

Anyone have some knowledge on gear ratios? The 8.25 I bought has no markings but the Ring has 43 teeth and pinion has 13, any ideas what it could be?

Manual=3.07

43 x 13 is 3.31 ratio. THat just doesnt sound right

are you sure you counted right.

not doubting just doesnt seem right.

 

40 x 13 is a 3.07
