Have you tried them in deep powder?

Thanks for the tip. I like to lurk around in this thread because my GF is from Eaton and we think about moving back there quite a bit.

Default Trail up hwy 14??

Hey Guys! A few years ago a friend showed me a trail up Hwy 14. It's off the right side, if you're headed up the canyon from Ft. Collins. Past Pingree, and there is a big sign that says Cherokee Trail, but I think it is just a forest access road. Once you're off the highway there is a dirt road that forks at a fenced off electrical site. The trail goes just to the left of this fenced area. On the trail there are a few small water crossings and an abandoned mine. I haven't gone too much further on the trail; my Cherokee was stock last time I was up there. Does anyone know the actual name of this trail or when it's open? I'd love to go back, but am south of Boulder now and it's a little bit of a trek to find a closed trail. Thanks!!

That would be Sevenmile Creek. Its still closed after the flooding, hopefully going to reopen soon since its the only trail open all winter around here

yup sevenmile, not really worth the drive from boulder in my opinion but yes it is one of the only trails open year round up here. storm mountain is still open the back way for hunting season as well

Thanks! Well I also know you can shoot up there. It's so hard to find trails around Boulder that don't have a million people. I'm from the Boulder/Longmont area but went to school up in Ft. Colins, so we would make a day of it and meet up with some friends that are still in foco. Thank you. I saw that trail on a few maps but wasn't sure if that was it.

Even if Storm was open the back way, Buckhorn road is still closed since the flood.
