Just got my jeep back from the shop! $179. Two shot U-joints. Coulda done it myself if i had the tools.

I'm so tired of my mom moaning about how much it cost, she's about to pay $387 for her jeep, which is only a year old.

Also just throwing it out there, i got a T-stat sitting in my glovebox. Free if anyone ever needs it.

Just got back from a wheelin trip.
Middle st vrain and coney flats on sat
pierson park on sunday
johnny park road today on the way back.

Both pierson park and johnny park were rated at 3s but they had some tricky sections. I was surprised at the rating.

Also there was a wrecked cherokee on pierson park. It appears that the guy was doing like 45mph, lost control and hit a tree about 10in in diameter and uprooted it. The jeep was likely totaled, the whole front end was smashed to ****, airbags deployed. Didn't see anyone there.

Also developed a leak in the radiator somewhere. It appears to be coming from the top of the radiator and is an intermittent issue. :|

Yeah, radius arms/y-link is the easiest setup to build. Seth is running them, dsach is running them, 1Ton is ruinning them, and my current xj has them.

I will be building my 4-link soon to replace my y-link. I dont like the way y-links handle on or offroad. Their binding characteristics cause premature bushing failure also.

Dont let me scare you away from building one, as these are just MY opinions.

I did a test once with Digger. Right after I installed his y-link, I had him take his jeep for a drive around the block, then my old red exoed XJ(it had 4-link). He came back amazed at how good 4-link felt compared to the y-link. Less unloading, less body roll, and way more stable.

Going from short arms to a y-link will still be a night and day difference in the rideand flex, but going from y-link to 4-link is where I was most impressed.

Swapping just the major components. Leafs and coils. My adjustable LCA's will still work. But a free upgrade on my lift! Hells yeah. But am going to need a PM from you on steering and possibly those Long Arms.
