Denver bs thread
I did before I went up last Monday and at the time it was open but fires and shooting were banned. I would bet it is still the same.

I NEED to paint mine. Hood is peeling bad and roof is worse. Hopefully the rust hasn't done much damage yet. Maybe we can pool our resources and get a bunch of jeeps painted. I've already bought a 7" sander/polisher but I don't have paint or a gun yet, I was thinking about putting automotive paint in these and going to town.

i painted my old 4runner w/that bright side boat paint.. u dont need to spray it.. it came out ok.. it cost me about $80 to do. you roll it on. just google "roll on paint job". pretty tedious work tho, and i would invest in a good respirator.

Damn you, I was thinking blue as well. Also thought about rescue green or an orange.

That sprayer is interesting but I cant help but think it would still go on like you rattle canned it. I think you should invest in it and test it out!

I agree. Not ideal application. But with auto quality paint, and buffing it good afterwards, I think it would turn out better than rattle can at least. I don't need show quality paint, but I don't want to completely cheap out and i want something that will last for a good while.

We could turn this into a project of sorts if someone has the room. Pool resources, manpower, money, supplies, etc..... Sand down and respray a handful of rigs.... If there's enough interest it could be a cool end result. Would just take planning and what not. Obviously couldn't do it all in one weekend, but dedicate some different dates for set up, a couple for prep, a couple for paint, etc etc... Its just an idea. I know some use their XJs as DDs (I still do, at least for another week).
