Haven't maxed out my motor at 5k rpm for a while well yesterday I did it on lefthand. Holy crap was that fun!

 

can anyone help install new lcas on wednesday after 3??? they are adjustable and I need em 1/2 inch longer then the fixed ones I have on now

 

Lol. When I use to race the class i was in our engines ran 13k in regular basis. Ran on methanol. It was a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. We would have to refuel every 70 laps since used 1 1/2 gallons. When at full speed less than 6 sec a lap. At nationals last class to race. Best to watch. Was so much fun.

Any one ever pop a code 27 ? Rough idle , no power when in gear (ax-15 )

 

What year xj? I assume pre 96 since its not a p0*** code

Pretty certain that is an injector code....not reaching peak voltage. Injectors could be clogged, or bad.

 

Yeah it's a 91 ! Been shooting wires all day ! Everything's checking good might have to swap injectors ! Could the cps make it act like that ? Code 27 - fuel injector circuit. Any one have any extra ford 24# injectors ....

 

Any one ever ha a bad fuel pump what are the symptoms ?? Beside low pressure ?

 

if it were 97+ I would say yes because the fuel regulator is in the tank and they go bad quite often. Since its pre96 I would recommended to ohm out the injectors. Usually when they go bad and cause this code. About 14.5 ohms is acceptable. Just use an ohm meter, pull the plug un each injector, and measure resistance between the two terminals on the injector.

Also, have you checked fuel pressure while running?....or while putting load on the engine? This would be the easiest way to rule out the fuel pump or regulator.

 

Finally bought a new pair of cleats for lacrosse. The old ones a little old and worn out, 8 years old. Price not to bad only $70ish
