Just got home from swapping in my front diff!
Drives better than most stock jeeps...honestly. I lowered it 2 inches, made my lca mounts in line with the axle tube, and raised my track bar mount 4 more inches up from where it was on the other d44. My lcas are more parallel with the ground than before and so is my steering and track bar. This eliminated the need for high steer. I finally have no bump steer. I would have been done around 8 but I ran into some issues.
Brakes were apparently just starting to touch metal on metal. Trip 1 to parts store. Clean wheel bearings, toast, Trip 2 to the parts store. New diff has different yoke apparently. Other diff is sold so I cant steal it...parts store closed. New diff is 1 inch wider.....aligned fine, but track bar is too short to center my axle. Screw it!!! Drove it home!
Building a new track bar tomorrow and getting new yoke. All is good.
Focker out!
