Just scored and received a Radio Shack TRC503 $10
. Tested, and it works. Want to install this week. Where is a good place to get a cheap antenna? Not sure what I'm looking for either. The smaller the better IMO.

Where do they sell those antennas?
Yeah. Maybe. I might just drill into the side and mount the antenna there too...

I saw them at Walmart for $12. W/the cable attached. But I guess they all come like that....
Mine was mounted on the PS rear quarter panel, about where the gas fill dorr is located on the other side. I cleaned it off on Saran Wrap, and it did a bit of damage as it ripped out. Big rocks don't move!! LOL!!

This is what I have. Like I said, for on road use, the range is not that great, but for trail riding it is great. I get about a mile throw out of it, which for wheeling, suits me fine.
