Default CB Antenna

Just scored and received a Radio Shack TRC503 $10 . Tested, and it works. Want to install this week. Where is a good place to get a cheap antenna? Not sure what I'm looking for either. The smaller the better IMO.

Mount one with the big spring to your rear bumper.

I saw those at Walmart last night. $12, but I they looked crappy lol. I'm thinking of a 3' firestick, mounted w/2 L brackets above the tail light.
Where do they sell those antennas?

Yeah. Maybe. I might just drill into the side and mount the antenna there too...

You may want to rethink that, I ripped mine off on a rock, not a good time!! Now I have a small mag-mount unit on my roof, it is only 8" long, but it works great for trail runs. HTH!!

Mine was mounted on the PS rear quarter panel, about where the gas fill dorr is located on the other side. I cleaned it off on Saran Wrap, and it did a bit of damage as it ripped out. Big rocks don't move!! LOL!!

OH, sorry, try this linky:

http://www.walcottcb.com/ms512m-inch...ath=28_352_412

This is what I have. Like I said, for on road use, the range is not that great, but for trail riding it is great. I get about a mile throw out of it, which for wheeling, suits me fine.
