I am looking to regear the XJ soon and can't decide to run 4.10s or 4.56. I am running a 33inch tire will not be going any bigger. I drive up north via the I17 a lot and would like to be able to keep rpms down not screaming up the hills or doing 45.... I am not a huge rock crawler more of an overland build.

also will be switching to 17" JK sport wheels. don t know if that will sway folks one way or the other. I have been told pros and cons of each gear ratio set up. I would like to think 4.10 is sufficient

 

I think you will be happy with the 4.10s.
