Default Every other month is more doable

Hey, new guy here. Just joined.
Right now every other month is more doable, and I would need to touch base in advance since my ride is still bone stock. I don't want to hold anyone back.
I am in Tucson, and giving up building my 84, so I have on 01 now.

Do you rate routes before going?

This sounds pretty good.

Day trips are best, however, occaisional camping is great.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been trying for two years to get the 84 going. Its a 4.3L V6/904 combo, welded D35 rear, and haven't figured out how to get the coolant to the V6 yet. Anyway, I started my own business and working full time. As well as other projects- you all know the story. I saved the 01 from cash for clunkers. I was instantly spoiled by the creature comforts it has, and I don't think my wife would even ride in the 84! I don't know why with that awesome red interior.
I did pick up a powertrax off of craigslist for the 01, other wise it has no skid plates and is stock.(minus the third cat and magnaflow).
I may eventually return to the 84, unless I yank the V6 and sell it.
I am tied up for the holidays, but look forward to doing something in January. I just got back from playing around in the Chiricauhas.

by the way, does anyone know if the gas tank skid plate on my 84 will fit my 01. I just got the reciever on and front skid plate. These were off my 85 parts XJ I am currently selling.

Thanks for the input.

Me and my wife go to the salt river several times, every summer. We go tubing on it, lol.

Is it around that area?

Ok so you have been tubing.
you were really close to the entrance of butcherjones then. On that very HWY "beeline" i thinks it called. go over the bridge and drive about 3 miles further and you will see sighn for it on the right.
If you get to HWY 87 you have gone too far.

Yeah well I am fixing a few things still haven't figured out the lights someone got any info on where the running lights or head lights relays are? That would help me out. And I don't know if the gas tank skid will roll over to the 01 you might want to just try and put it on doesn't hurt anything

Default Man, tech difficulties

I have been trying to reply to this thread since yesterday.
Thanks for the welcome Tankerblade.
I am pretty good with a Fluke, but not as savvy as I should be on the computer. I am on my lunch break and using a work computer. My laptop at home still shows evertime I sign onto CF, that I am the last post on page 9. I know there has still been discussion because of the email updates. Then, when I try and reply or post anything it says my tokens have expired.
Have to work on this one.

Ya, I had to mod a little to get the receiver hitch off my 85 parts XJ to fit my01, so I'll just give it a shot on the skid plate.

Tankerblade, do you have any skid plates, or just goin for it?

To any of you guys, I never own a vehicle without purchasing the factory service manual. Best 100.00 I have spent on many a vehicle. got em for my cummins as well. If you need wiring diagrams or any section data, I can copy/fax or scan to help you out.

Due to family obligations I look forward to trying to set something up with everyone in January. Has there been any plans for that time frame yet?
