i am down to go to Florence i have found a few spot that really make your *** hole pucker its to the point to where if you do something wrong your going over on a few spots or table mesa there is a trail in there called can opener that is pretty bad dont know how to get there but i know it is insane

What a day, went out with 96 xj today. Kind of im bord lets just find something to do, type of mentality. So we plowed through queen valley for a little bit, then hit the north entrance to the box canyon area (connects to the road if you come in from the flagpole). Good trip, then decided to head out. Just before i got out of gold canyon get a call about a buddy (who we were suppose to meet up with)who's bronco II was stuck deep in mud. said they were having a difficult time getting him out.

We meet up at the crack in the box in GC with a nicely built Cherokee (4.5in lift 33's bfg muds and locked front and rear) and a stock F-250 deisel with some offroad tires. They thought they could get it back there and pull out the bronco. That wasnt going to happen.
As soon as we were about to head out that cherokee gets pulled over. so were down to my rig and the truck. The cops pretty much had no reason to pull him over and were waiting to pull him over. So while trying to figure a plan out i call 96 xj up askin if he wanted to play some more and recover a bronco. he agrees so me and him head back out to the dam (he was stuck at the dam in queen valley) and see how bad it is....the rig was sunk to the frame only a couple inches of the top of the tire was showing (running 31's). tried yanking it a couple times to see if it would budge. No go. in the mean time the cops pretty much take the jeeps keys away for no registration (dumb move on the kids part). The truck tows the jeep home and drops the broncos owner off at crack in the box. I head back to grab the kid and get the keys and head back to the dam. While all of that 96 xj pretty much gets the thing unstuck. lifts the front end up and shoves logs under the front tires. We get back and pretty much pull him out with ease.

it was a good day! glad to get out and use the jeep for a change
