I could possibly go out in the late morning on Sunday. What do you have in mind?

rteecher, I would really like to make this trip again. Also, I am thinking of hosting a group next spring from the Expedition Portal forum and would like to consider including that run on the planned route. I can't remember how to get there. I really enjoyed the day last year and would like to do some wheeling with you two again. How 'bout it?

Default More recent XJ photos

I have done quite a bit of work to my rig this summer. One of the big changes is my approach to how I want to use the rig. I have recently been on the Expedition Portal forum and begun to set my rig up more as a camping/expedition emphasis.

The biggest change to the mechanical part was to replace the stock axles to RCV axles in my HP Dana 30. Much smoother and stronger.

I have rearranged the cargo area of the XJ to make the hatchback area a sort of chuck wagon set up with an awning as needed. The rear seat area is set up for camping gear on the driver's side and tool/recovery gear on the passenger side. I'm still refining it, but the arrangement is working very well.

You know, I was telling my wife the other day that we needed to set up another trip into Robinson Hole. Which of the next few weekends are you free?

By the way, anyone else on the Forum is welcome to come along!

I will be out of town this weekend (13th/14th) but any other weekend will work for me. I would prefer to go on a Saturday since I may camp out at the Hole, but whatever will work best for you ... just to go, that is the real deal. And, I can camp out anywhere along the way. In fact, I may camp at a place I know in the Three Creek area on Friday night and meet you Saturday (or Sunday) at Murphy. We can discuss the details in the coming days.
