I dunno, somewhere higher in elevation than Twin! Maybe up around Ketchum or Sun Valley? I dunno if there are any good trails up there, but I'm sure it'll be a few degrees cooler... Only about 70-80 miles, so fuel shouldn't be too horrible for any of us?

ditto here no $. there is a pretty cool trail up about 10 miles north of Ketchum has some hard stuff and some bypasses. I am a little leary of going too wild in the xj since I spent the last 5 years building a wheeling a Full Size Bronco with 5.13's dual detroits and 39's. the xj on 33's is deffinately a different beast but what I have done in it seems extremely capable. And I can't afford to break it since we are using it as a dd since the wifes exploder exploded.

You are the second person to tell me about this trail just North of Ketchum... Any more specific details or info? I may cruise up there and check it out tomorrow. I went up there a few weeks back looking for it specifically, but clearly missed it as I ended up at the top of Gelena Summit and decided to just keep going on up to Redfish Lake for the afternoon

How about the area just North of the Perrine bridge right here in town? With the rain and cooler weather the dust won't be miserable, and it might be a fun way to get out a kill a couple hours? I've only been on a couple of the two-track roads not far off the highway, so I really don't know how much there is to do or where to go in there, but I've heard a lot of chatter about it. Devil's Corral or something like that...

Default Back in TF area

Hi, I grew up in the Magic Valley area, was gone for 30 years and am now back (living in Buhl). I have a 2000 XJ with 3.5" lift and 31's. I would be eager to wheel with anyone just about anytime. I have a dirt bike too and have ridden a fair amount in the area north of the canyon and also the South Hills.

I just got back from a trip to the Rubicon Trail with my cousin in his TJ with 35's. There was on XJ in the group with 35's and he did very well. It was a great trip. I'm all hyped up about building my XJ up to those standards now ... not much spare $ however ... lol.

PM or call me at 421-3286 ... Tracy

Default Just got in!

Hey guys, just reading this thread and noticed its still active. Anyway just moved here from the PNW and brought my Cherokee along. Mines an 89 somewhere around 6 in of lift, 35's, Dana 44, locked front and rear with a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. My jeep is currently stored in NV but I'm bringing up to twin this weekend. Really want to start wheeling out here so feel free to hit me up so I can learn the area! Thanks guys

Sounds like we are starting to get some interest built up here!! I am heading to Colorado for 12 days of wheeling/camping, but will be back Aug 5th. We should all plan to head up to the hills sometime after that?
