Twin Falls Area
Jarbidge (just over the border into NV and sits in the Humboldt Ntl Forest) is an absolutely quaint place. The main street is still a dirt road. It was a mining boom town at one time and still has about 200 residents. It still has an active gold mine that runs in the summer. There are old mining roads all over in the mtns and the area is beautiful. Some great adjacent areas to be explored as well like Elk Mtn and some desert areas. The people are super friendly in Jarbidge. There is a very nice cafe, a motel and, of course, a bar or two. If one keeps going on the road through Jarbidge you'll end up in Elko and I guess it is a very scenic dirt road (not maintained in the winter). I plan to go back often.

Work is slated to slow down right after Thanksgiving... Are there any areas/opportunities for wheeling that late in the year? I know back in Washington a lot of the trails close due to snowmobile use - is that the case here??
