Beautiful John. Now you're making me ... yearn.

I did some asking & research since last night. It looks like Glacier isn't a day trip. Why go all that way just to turn around & come back "home"? There's far too much to see & do. At the very least a weekend trip would be in order. I'm so conflicted. We'll be here until Monday, but there's still more stops to make on the real estate hunt.

Time is not my friend

I understand, i hoped you just needed a lil push off the fence.

Dont come home... weather is miserable. Extend your search out there..

Let me know if you need one of the vehicles driven out there.. i work cheap for a trip to Montana.

So-o-o ... can anyone tell me the fastest way to get to Bilings from Helena? So far I'm looking at 3.5 hours & almost 250 miles .

Thinking of going in the morning. I'd Google something, but I think I need an address or something in Billings.

easiest route is to take I-15 south to Butte and then jump on I-90 east to Billings, other route you can take is Highway 12 / 287 south to I-90 and then head east to Billings. any time you head east or west you're going to be looking at quite a drive. generally speaking the roads are pretty open and not really patrolled by HSP, and if memory serves me correctly (it has been awhile since i've been up there on leave from the service) anything up to 15 mph over the limit is payable on the spot with a $20 fine. not that i'm advocating speeding or breaking the law.

Default Hey, it happened

StationWagon and friend came to see us in Billings today. We had a great time and I gotta tell you, SW is the real deal. I hope it works out for the move out here because I am eager to do some wheelin' under the Big Sky.

Oh yeah ... let me tell you, barring catastrophic illness or complete loss of income & an inability to generate any, it's definitely gonna happen.

Rock on & see you again soon!

I live in good ol' Emigrant Montana, just outside of Livingston! Livingston is just shy of 8,000 people, and is a pretty sweet little town if you ask me...

(There are three bars in that picture. LOL)
We have the best fly fishing in the world too! There are lots of places to go jeepin', and you aren't TERRIBLY far from any of the larger cities in Montana. The two closest being Bozeman and Billings, and seeing how it is a straight shot, Great Falls is only 3.25 hours away, with Helena being smack in between.

Montana is awesome!

I would love to move there.

Went to MT for a few days to the Marlboro Ranch aka Crazy Mountain Ranch.

The locals are very down to earth and love their state and lifestyles.

Miles upon miles of nothing, perfect.

Awesome place!

Good luck.
