Yeah it has been pretty chilly up in elevation, I'll be fine as long as it's dry. Wet and cold is the worst. For food I was just going to pack some hotdogs/sausages, beans, and beer... pretty much my camping essentials. If you want to coordinate something better I would be down to pack my share.

I've been meaning to buy a little portable grill for years... I just cook over the fire. But I hear ya, my XJ doesn't have any room left over after my camping gear, tools, fluids, full size spare, etc... So coordinating is smart.

Well we are vegetarians so meat grilling is not on our menu. But there could be other areas we could food share with if you want.
I might be bringing two more guys and they are big meat eaters too so I can pass on some info to them if you want to organize something.

assuming that Im going to pack at least the lunches ready to go, I guess some sausages and something similar for the morning would work out. Ill see what I am going to do. Everyone have firewood to bring or planning to collect near the camp? Im thinking I can pick some up on the trail during the day

I'm just gonna gather firewood... I don't need a huge fire. Or maybe we will need a big fire, it was 29 this morning.

i hope we dont get snowed out. There is a chance of snow in the mountains, especially overnight, tues-fri and maybe the other days. I seriously hope its not going to be raining on saturday, slickrock will be true to its name, or closed

Thankfully the weather people don't know anything this far out... I'll worry when this time next week the report still says that.

I agree with Skidder, let wait and see. Right now what the are saying for Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 54.
But it could be Thursday: clearing and Friday: highs in the 70's.
I will be truly disappointed if the weather does not cooperate with us but lets just wait and see.

Here is the storm that is coming our way. Gone by Friday so the ground will be wet and cold but no rain.
I have 30* rated sleeping bags so I hope it keeps its promise of keeping me warm.
