I know the rubicon is awesome....two years ago i bent one of rims on the rocks.
|
I'm right down the mountain could be there in 15 min. Lol my jeep club is doing a run there this month and next month if the weather is ok to see how the snow is doing lol
|
North lake here.
Alot of snow up here still, the lower elevation trails (that dont gain much elevation) are good to go. Also anything with a river crossing won't be doable till fall. The sierras got murdered by snow this season and the cold spring kept the snowpack from melting. |

Well get your @$$ on over here man. There are tons of dudes out here and the Rubicon is some awesome wheeling/camping.

Hey I can be there in 1 1/2 hours from here. Is Mt Watson trail doable now or Ellis Peak?
|
Mt Watson might be doable... That area gets less snow and that trail is on the south western slope, meaning the snow would have melted more. There's still probably a few snow fields across the trail.
I've never done Ellis Peak so I couldn't say. |
