There are places to go,grass valley,mamoth bar,used to be able to go up the river past Hanson Brothers gravel pit in Colfax,Folsom lake in the summer is ok,the rail road tracks in Weimar,you can get lost up there.George Town which leads to the Rubicon.The only local club I know of that does regular stuff is the Grass Valley 4x4 club.
