Hey guys, I own a white '97 XJ with details below my name on the left side...I had a Thule 300 Gutter Foot pack (short feet, not the longer ones pictured in my profile picture) with Thule 58" load bars with a Rage Black Widow roof rack with extension attached.

I live in the east bay of San Francisco bay area in Concord, CA. Saturday, March 16th, while I was at the UFC gym in the Willows shopping center off Diamond Blvd. This complete setup was removed and stolen from my Jeep. Nothing else including my d-rings (3) or Firestik II antenna were stolen.

I have made a police report with Concord PD and can identify each item but will not publicly disclose this information.

If everyone can do me a favor and keep an eye out and inform me of any possible information I would greatly appreciate it as this was about a $450+ setup and I can not afford to replace. I just want my stuff back, in fact if you happen to know who took these items and I can get them back in the condition taken I will not pursue any criminal charges.

Who ever took it was ballsy...it was middle of the afternoon in a parking lot, I was only in the gym a little over a hour, I have multiple American flag stickers, US Army sticker (I serve) and multiple hunting decals and as I mentioned I was in the UFC gym. Would have taken at least two people and a truck or van for transport.

Sorry to hear some *** hat stole your gear. Especially with the mentioned stickers. Thanks for your service first off, and if nothing comes of it, I would be willing to donate some $$$ to get another rack back on your rig. Least I can do for a member of the armed forces

I wouldn't ask for any money but it would be nice to replace just don't have the money right now and a baby due in Sept. I also appreciate the support and good to know there are some true proud Americans.

 

I think there are enough servicemen/Americans in here that are more than willing to help ya out. And with a father who was in the Corps for 26 years, it's hard not to be enthusiastic about our military.

 

Someone mentioned to me if my rack was locked to the roof or anything. The thought of someone coming up and stealing it didn't even cross my mind. I guess because I didn't think someone would be a big enough scumbag to do it..

I hope you get your rack returned to you. It's really sad what kind of people are out there these days... Broad daylight and no one thinks to say anything or stop them.. Unreal.

 

sorry to hear about the rack man. ill keep an eye out down here in vegas. i know its 8 hours away but sometimes idiots will sell stolen goods on craigslist, or hell i might even see it drivein around down here. had my quad stolen from me a few years back. its not fun to loose something expensive.

 

Were there any outdoor security cameras at the gym or surrounding business's over looking the parking lot?

 

Ill keep an eye out also down here in Vegas too. Can't stand thieves, I hope they get caught or karma will surely bite them in the a$$. Sorry to hear about your roof rack getting stolen.

 

Once again I would never ask for a handout but there is definitely no way I can afford to replace these items anytime soon.

If you own a rack get locks! Won't stop them but will slow them down. There are cameras but none located where I was parked. I am browsing my local craigslist as well as utilizing social media to have eyes on the streets. Hope to get my stuff back but doubt I will. Still in shock no one stopped or said anything to the people stealing it.
