There will be about 3 tough areas....
We ran it when it was raining and anyone without lockers/33's wouldn't have gotten through 2+ areas without a tug.
I have seen Alpha go up and over some big stuff and he has sliders to help protect his rig.He goes places with no lift/31's that most people shouldn't try...He also knows what can and will happen to the jeep damage wise.
Holcomb is a great trail but there are some big rocks. Personally i would warm up on a easier trail if this is your first time out or if you don't have say a 3.5" lift/armor. There are some big bolder fields and you will take rocker damage without sliders. This is not a trail I would want to run with 25 jeeps as it could be a long day unless all the rigs are buit up.
remember to take it slow and stop and ask for a spotter or help if you are un sure about an area.

But I do want some skids ASAP. Need to hit the junk yards for some

Crap!!!! Now I'm excited. Use to wheel my 84 Toyota on 33's. Been wheeling my Polaris ranger for about 6years. Now into jeep scene. First time on hard trail with the xj but 4.5 lift, rock sliders, and rear (maybe front locker if done in time) I think I'll make it.

Great trail I just think people should be informed on what to expect in regards to a trail...lol
Our last run was a blast but imagine if everyone from the first half would have kept running up dishpan. There would have been alot of trashed jeeps and we would have been yanking and pulling 80% of the group up and over all the obstacles.
my idea of offroading is your jeep should make it up and over most of the obstacles by itself. If you need to stack rocks and use a ramp on every nasty section your probably on the wrong trail.
The first 30 seconds of this video is what I'm talking about...lol
I would have left that H3 at the first obstacle and moved oin as he shouldn't have been there

Thank you Cole, I couldn't have said it better. If at every obstacle you need stacking/winching and ramps, time to build up your ride or find a trail more appropriate to you. I believe that I am the only one running no lift, the rest have at least 3" lift and 31's.

I'm gng to big bear tomorrow to do Jacoby canyon, lil John bull and gold mtn. Did em when my jeep was stock on street tires when I first got it so it can be done with limited mods. Starting in yucca thru frontier town. I want to do Holcomb Creek too. It'll be 3 xj's. Meeting at 7am 10/5. At the north east corner of Hwy 62 and Indian Canyon. Anyone's welcome. Let me know.

Hey Wheeler's. I agree with C.T. This run will Test Your Skills and Challenge your Rig. I ran it with 33's and a 4 1/2 lift. And Open Diffs. Only made it on my own 1 out of three Obstacles. The good thing about the two that i had to be drug up was I'm well armored. Sliders, Stiffeners. gas tank, along with Napier Fenders. Should have been locked on the diffs. But Had close friends that put up with my Rig. The Saying .. No one left behind is really important. But the only way I made the run was because they wanted me to go with them.
So with that said if ur Rig is able u will have an experience that will make ur heart pump and the trip of ur life. This is a run that u will do more than one time. Something new every time.
Looking forward to wheeling with everyone.
See a few pics of the vid. H3 And the driver should not have been on this run. At anytime He and his group could have been in Trouble. It's along way out when u break. Our skills and rigs will effect everyone. Lol

What the heck was the h3 wheeler thinking.
One of three Thoughts.
#1 Didn't really know what he was getting himself into!!!!
#2 Couldn't say no!!!
#3 He was a jeep owner not a jeepr. Thr is a difference.
This could have really gone wrong.
Also when the wife and family are afraid. Our wheeling days are over. Lol
