Today I went to the Cleghorn exit off of the 15 fwy and took the jeep for a spin on the fire roads. I hope now that it's cooling off we can get a group together.

Count me in guys.
Lake Elsinore area here.
I got a stock jeep for now. If i can find a cheap lift i'll buy it but there is no way i can afford a 1200 dollar lift plus tires and rims. It just aint going to happen. I bought the damn jeep for 800 bucks haha. I do plan on lifting it though. I really want a jet boat before next summer so i gotta get the jeep going good and ready to tow to Fresno for a family reunion. I can only get a Jet Boat because they are lite and i really like them. There is no way i would tow a wake boarding boat with my jeep. I'm down for day runs locally. It's gotta be some lite wheelin because my jeep is stock and i have no spare tire. I am on a target salary so i cant drive far. lol
I got a buddy who is my sisters b/f who has a 88 xj that is lifted and he might come out for a couple local runs too.

Is anyone going to the lucerne powder puff race Oct 10th? My friend will be racing so i should be out there.
Jeff

I am not driving it just yet. Still need to do a good look over the jeep before i feel comfortable driving it just anywhere. I do know we need fuel lines because cracked when barely touching it. I have all the oils changed minus the front and rear diffs and possibly the T-case. I will be driving it by next monday.

How about a Silverado Canyon run when i get my jeep going? Silverado Canyon is some light wheeling. You can go all the way up to the top where cell some cell phone towers are which is a pretty high elevation. I need tires soon and my jeep is stock so i cant do anything crazy just yet.

How much lift are you looking for? I bought a 3" ALL kit on e-bay from carparts.com out of Illinois that came with shocks, shock boots, new frt coil springs, 1 1/2 tappered blocks & ALL for the rear plus u-bolts. Not a bad deal for $204.00 shipping included. Also I have four 235/75/15 Wrangler radial tires on stock steel wheels that are less than a year old and a matching spare that is the same style wheel & tire but the tire is 225/75/15 if your interested in some good tires to get rolling. I just bought some Rubicon wheels & tires so it would be a shame to let these sit & rot.

Looking to get a 4.5+ lift on 33's. But you can shoot me some pics and a price (shipped). Doubt i can afford to have them shipped. Where do you live?

Ok cool I'll let you know when i get my jeep registered. I know another guy with a 88 xj that will probably show. Anyone happen to have a spare tire/rim i can buy for cheap? I have no spare nor do i have any recovery points. I know i shouldn't be going but I'm sure someone will have a spare tire i can borrow for a few hours. If you guys don't know what Silverado Canyon is just type it in youtube.
Jeff
Add: I got to thinking what a waste of time it would be if we all went up and it was closed. After a quick search i found this link; Looks like it's open: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/cleveland/conditions/

I might have my jeep going by sunday or monday. Let's do it guys. Anyone else down for a Silverado Canyon run on Sunday? Possibly Saturday?

It's a no go for this weekend. Maybe when i get paid again after the 9th. I'll be in lucerne for a race with the jeep on the 10th if anyone wants to roll. They are having a powder puff race for breast cancer.
