Try shaver lake. There is slick rock but its a little difficult. You can wait until winter and go play in the snow off of Mormon immigrant in Pollock pines. I try and do that every year.

Some beautiful places to camp in the emigrant wilderness, if you don't mind undeveloped camping. The wheeling would be moderate at best tho.

so i rear ended someone yesterday cause some pedestrian stepped in front of traffic. of course i had to be at the end of the break train and 88 xjs don't stop as fast as one would like. so i locked them up at 40, slid 3-4 car lengths and took out a Camry. $4600 worth of damage to the poor guy and i excaped with a busted radiator, bent frame behind the passenger bumper, broken fan blades, sheered vacuum lines to the canister, and then what you see in the pictures. still able to drive her home pouring coolant the whole way.
