If you go to the 2nd city hall (the tower, abandoned) there is an underground parking lot that is sometimes open. You can see the olllllld hayward high facade there. they just built around it.

basegrinder...I'll have to check out the old facade. My first 2 yrs. of high school was at the old Hayward High and the last 2 yrs. at the "new" school. At the old school, we had to dodge falling pieces of asbestos. I don't know why I don't have lung cancer!

94xjjohn=== I should mention that you need to go through a doorway to see that part. If you go to the plaza below the tower, Mission Blv side...between the tower and those few offices left, there is a stairway going down. SOMETIMES that is open, and if you go in there you can see it. pretty weird.
