Default Anybody in the Tahoe area this weekend?

Looking to see if anyone wants to wheel either the 31st or the first. I was planning to ski, but seeing as it totally blows right now, wheeling would be way better. Anyone in the area want to hit some trails if anything is open? Would be interested in Nevada side as well. Let me know.

Duude I'd so come up if you're really serious but problem. I have a stock WK that can't do a whole lot of wheeling. Needs major upgrades lol...but what part of Tahoe you going to? And where you going from?

If you go to the Nevada side toward the Reno area there are several stock friendly trails.
You can also check out these guys for trail runs in the area.

Yeah I'm serious about it. Im in South Lake right now, will be until the 2nd. I don't really know what trails if any are open since the forest service closes most of the trails up here in November. Whether there is snow or not.

I would say your best bet is to look on Reno4x4. They usually do a run every Sunday. They are headed out towards Pyramid lake this Sunday. I may head out with them but I'm still up in the air on it.

Did you end up wheeling anywhere up there? Duuude I heard there's no snow in Tahoe! Is that true? I wanted to go up there soooooo much but y poor two-faced is about to breakdown it stalled at Walmart the other day. It stalled but didn't die. Like it came to, right before it shut off. Oye vey! I almost freaked out like a typical girl but I didn't yay!

I think the last time it snowed in Reno was over a month ago and that was only about an inch.
The last I heard all the snow at the ski resorts is man made. But I have yet to actually go up and look. I'm waiting and hoping for some real snow before I hit the slopes. However thats not looking to be anytime soon. It was 56 today and supposed to be even warmer tomorrow and wednesday.

Yeah that's what I heard too. I don't even know if the ski resort around here opened. If it did, its no doubt man made cuz there's absolutely no real snow! So not kool!

I went up to dodge ridge area 2010 November on thanksgiving and there was lots of snow!

See....
(Last pixie...that was a lot of snow falling off of two trees at the same time. Few more feet and I'd have to call tow truck cuz I would have an extra extra much damaged windshield lol)

Yeah I did end up going. We hit two trails a bit north of Reno by Spanish springs. They were pretty nice trails, some pictures are on Naxja. What you guys are saying about the snow is true, the resorts are suffering for sure and everything is man made.

Glad you made it out. I unfortunately I didn't. My wife's dog got scared by fire works and ran away. I spent all night looking for the damn thing!

Yeah it would've sucked if the snow ended up falling on my jeep. I had my cousins and niece and nephew with me. That's my worst fear, to end up in a bad spot with young children and/or adults, especially when they depend on you.

did you find the doggy?
