thats what i was wondering also sand lake isnt that far from portland.

 

Brown camp is about an hour. Sand lake is a little more then 2

 

I'll have to check those out sometime this summer. I'm not new to Jeps, wheeling, or fabrication. I've owned a 78 Grand Wagoneer, 95 Grand Cherokee, 1989 YJ, 2000 TJ, 1990 XJ, and now this 2000 XJ. I built up my TJ into a rock crawling beast with 2" of lift, cut fenders and 35" tires. This one is going to be more of an overland rig for road trips. I'm going simple with this build.

I spent the last 2 years wheeling my TJ down in the Klamath Falls area. I've run the McGrew Trail and many other local rock crawling areas. Before that I crawled with the guys from Superlift down in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. My TJ was hacked up for a low center of gravity with the maximum travel I could get out of it.

This is the 1990 Cherokee I just sold as a parts rig when I bought the 2000 I have today.

 

Sherwood here. Anyone know of any good spots for some off-road action?
