First post on cherokeeforum, today at 645am I held my cig lighter in for too long and noticed my clock didn't work. Then I plugged in my phone into the USB adapter in the outlet and sure enough it did not work. They are both on the same fuse (2) and that's the one that blew and was replaced. Before I got to the parts store I took off the wooden bezel and unscrewed the three philups that holds on the box with the outlet in it to see if maybe I melted a wire or something bad. All good under there, next I unscrewed the radio and noticed the ground was broken off. I never use the radio bc only my tweeters work so now I know where to start when I do that project. I put it all back together and for anyone doing this, be gentle but firm putting the bezel back, it was a pain slipping it over the steering wheel neck. I put in a new fuse and all was fixed.

Hey Guys! I haven't posted in a while but I figured I'd update a little bit.
I finally got all my tube doors, spare tire holder, and sliders all built and painted. Cleaned her all up for the 4th!

Here is a better picture of the sliders. Its 2x6 3/16th SQ Tube, and 1.25x1/8" Angle, spot welded and mounted to the body. Turned out great, and hope I never have to do it again.

Here is the extra 1.25" SQ Tube that will be getting welded to the sliders for additional protection this weekend.

Next little project will be fabbing up some rear 1/4 panel armor with SQ Tube and 3/16th sheet metal similar to what everyone sells.
Also made a Hi-lift bracket for my roof rack, though I will be relocating it to the hood soon.

I don't know if you can buff that door scratch out ...maybe worth a try?

Me?
Needed to do Ball Joints ...and, well I don't like rust. I don't like to put rusty stuff back on the Jeep - so, I had to wire-wheel, Ospho, and repaint the parts

The local fabric store had "headliner fabric" in grey, black, and tan. It's foam-backed fabric that's pretty similar to modern headliners. About 2.5 yards is enough.

Got pulled over for not having doors... Then he went on and told me my tires stick out too far, need mud flaps, my barely cracked tail light needs replaced, I need marker light covers and covers for the lights on the roof.. He tried feeding me bs that only factory tested vehicles w/o doors can have there doors off. I had just talked to a cop the other day and said it was fine.. Gotta love the wsp

Looks nice. I love that rear bumper. Needs more lift for those tires tho in my opinion. Also, those look like Rubicon express coil springs. O and welcome to the forum

that said, I've run with my doors off more times than I can count and have never been hassled about it. I've even had a few cops give me a thumbs up.
but that doesn't mean a cop can't give you a ticket if he's in a **** mood tho, because he certainly can. and last I checked, no judge in the world accepts the excuse "but this one guy told me so-and-so.."
