Realized that since I got an entire WJ d30 from hub to hub to convert my WJ to 4wd, I can also convert the XJ over to the better WJ parts. I have all the steering and everything. Just another thing to start researching
Bonus is both Axles have the Akebono calipers
Paid 75$ for the entire axle, including brakes, and steering.

Yeah thought about upgrading them anyway and redoing the gears but I don't have the money for that right now. Will get to it at some point. Been wanting to lock up the front for a while. Now that the spiders are broke perfect time for the upgrade

Make sure you pick up some extra d30 shafts. Talked to alot of guys who said when they locked their d30 it started snapping shafts.
I haven't had any issues snapping axle shafts and I've been rough on my jeep since installing the Spartan lockers.
Got the fittings and plumbed in the trans cooler.

I have about 5k miles on aussies front and rear. One time I was in a bad bind and the driver front u-joint exploded taking the inner and outer shafts with it. Junkyard shafts ground to accept 1-3/16 snap rings and 760x u-joints and I havn't had a problem since.
