Just bought a dana 44 and a hp30 to replace the junk. lets just say a bent axle housing was the least of the damage after jumping her!

installed new t-stat, coolant temp sensor, ignition, and purchased a fan clutch.
betcha can't guess what I'm up to...
running hot yet my aux fan wont kick on go figure.
in the morning... Install fan clutch, and locate coolant temp sending unit for my gauge since IR temps were way different from gauge readings. and erratic. I'm going to replace the clutch and then consider putting in some other form of gauge.

the pcm tells the fan to kick on at 217 f i believe. Try turning you ac on and checking to see if it comes on. If not, unplug the little connector near the fan and jump it to the pos and neg of the battery, see if the fan comes on. If so just wire in a switch so you can manually turn it off and on.

that'll be a very last resort I'd rather not "rig" things to work. there is obviously a problem somewhere that needs to be fixed. ALTHOUGH... those awesome electric fan kits that delete the mech fan sound nice

Junkyard God smiled down on me today, was looking for something else but found a turbo chrysler junkbox with the vented hood, vents still there. Someone took out all the screws but just left the vents so woot. Not sure what they go for but for 10 bucks I was exstatic now just need to cut some holes.
