The main parking lot or "pit" as most of us refer to it. Let me find you some directions and I'll post them up...

But then again, your pictures say you've been to walker already. You know where the main lot is right?

Thank you, and i do know i how to get there, i was just wondering if the "pit" was the main parking lot or the actual gravel pit up the way a bit. Although posting some directions might be a good idea for those who have not been there before. Just in case people don't know how to use Google maps LOL
Also, should we bring any tools to help maintain the trails a bit, you know like leave it better looking then when you got it?

No problem. It's crossed my mind but I keep forgetting, a little reminder for directions is always good. And yes it's the main parking lot. Are we going to see you there?

As for tools to maintain, you should be good. The State has had some volunteers working on the trails to maintain it, and they are still doing work. Unless you'd like to bring a shovel we are a pretty conscious group and take care of the places we commonly wheel at. We stay on beaten path and never stray off

Here's some good directions I found to get to the PIT if you are meeting directly at walker at 9

"Walker Valley is located 7 miles SE of Mt Vernon off highway 9 in the Big Lake neighborhood, the road to Walker Valley ORV Park is well marked and easy to find. From I-5, take exit 221. Go east on SR 534 for 5 miles and turn left onto SR 9. Drive north for 6 miles (milepost 46) and turn right onto Walker Valley Road. Go 2 miles and turn right onto Peter Burns Rd (a one-lane gravel road). After about 1 mile you will see the staging area on your right. Alternately you can take SR 538 from Mount Vernon to Hwy 9 and follow Hwy 9, 4 miles south to the Walker Valley Road."

The main thing you want to look for is Peter Burns Rd

If you are meeting at 8 at Dennys here is the address in case you didnt see it in the earlier post
Denny's in Mt. Vernon WA
100 East College Way, Mt. Vernon WA 98273
Which is also immediately off exit 227 on I-5. It will be on your right if you are coming from the south
