Well, I'm playing with the idea about selling my jeep. When I started upgrading my rig, I didn't take other people's advice about Jeeps being expensive projects. At this point, The thing is not worthy of any good trails and has become a gas guzzler. I'm an un-employed student with a very limited budget and have ran out of funds to keep dumping into my rig, I will try finishing out the summer and I may sell my rig. Advice to guys with stock Jeeps... Don't upgrade unless your prepared to spend a lot of cash.

No question it can become an expensive pursuit. School should come first and when you are done, maybe you will be in a better place to get back to Jeeps. Best of luck.

How is it a gas guzzler? You are still running stock tires, and get the 20 mpgs that you started with, right? Its not a 40mpg hybrid its a Jeep. Tough, reliable, functional, and thirsty. But if you wanna sell it, just let me know maybe Ill trade you the 30 mpg hoopty and some cash lol :-)

I got my 88 when I was 17...right out of high school. Bought it bone stock and transformed it...if your connected to it believe me its hard to see go. I just watched the new owner back it out of my garage and take off in it. I got a new 98 but it wont ever take the spot of that 88.
I bought my Jeep back in Dec. Completely stock with bad breaks bald tires and no shocks. Barely got it home.
With time and spare change, and how to home brew its turned into this
Its my way of relaxing from reality and drive to keep getting up for work.
If it was not for my Jeep id go insane.
But if selling it is what you want... I guess its your choice.
Btw, any vehicle you mod is a money pit. Not just jeep.

Keep your Jeep like said above any hobby is expensive when you get into it..
I'm a full time student as well if you sell your Jeep you will regret it because all you will have is books and study time and that can get depressing not to mention no Jeep that you built ...
School is good and should be a priority but their is play time and study time lol

Nah, stick with it man! It's huge but it's pretty badass!
I think I may have seen your Jeep up in the federal way area before too, porbably before the front bumper.

This is my first post on this forum.
I was in your position about 7 years ago. While I was in high school I had a 1985 CJ-7. I loved that Jeep even though it tried to kill me one too many times. I then went to college and I could not afford to take it with me or keep it. I sold it before I left for college and I have regretted that decision for 7 years. I am finally getting a Jeep (a '94 Cherokee). It's not for me to tell someone else what to do and everyone's situation is different but if I could go back I would find a place to keep my Jeep until I have the money and time to enjoy it.

I'm the only Cherokee in Federal Way with a load of political stickers on the back. Well known around here.
